Detail - Peanuts
The peanuts had a very nice flavor with a good balance of saltiness for my taste. The quality of the peanuts themselves were very high. My kids all enjoyed these as well and even asked me where they were purchased. I am not 100% sure about the price but they appear to be a good deal. I will have to check pricing next time I am in a supermarket for name brands but I am estimating that these are a good price per pound as well which even further enhances the value.
Very flavorful, good quality peanuts. Will definitely buy again. Prefer these over many name brands.

I purchased the Southern Grove Honey Roasted peanuts. Comes in a can @16oz. Only 2.19. It is as good as or even better than Planters in taste I believe. Great deal.

I like them I have not had a big problem with them. A burnt one or two, but not bad . I buy them all the time.
EILEEN says:
I sure agree with you on that . I didnt buy them, i had some from my workplace.
First thing I did was look at the label to see what brand, second was to see where they were sold on the web.. totally suprised it was Aldi. Better than Planters by far.

This is the third can of peanuts I have bought at Aldi. They used to be good but three in a row were not edible. One was burnt with too much salt, one was undercooked and the peanuts were white, and the other were rancid.
Steve Kyer says:
I have eaten a lot of peanuts, including Planters, but have yet to have any better than the Southern Grove I picked up at Aldi’s. They are flavorful and not too salty. The dry roasted are a perfect snack. I would recommend them to anyone.
Dean says:
I have been buying these exact peanuts for years, we share them at work and have loved them for many years. Far superior to planters for taste, quality, and price.
The last couple of months, the product has just had a bland taste. Its as if the process has changed for the nuts. We will no longer be purchasing the several dozen jars a week as a result
Janelle says:
These used to be my favorite brand of honey roasted peanuts until the company changed the recipe. Let me just say that It Is AWEFUL! I’m not sure what they did, but it’s terrible! Sadly, I will not be purchasing this product anymore.
Becki says:
I agree. They changed their recipe and now we can’t stand them.. Cut the fat and increased the sugar, decreased the Protein..

I usually buy Planters, but will occasionally pick up a less expensive store brand to try. I’m almost always disappointed but I wasn’t with the Southern Grove Dry Roasted Peanuts. I’ll definitely by buying these again.

March 2015-We love ALDI’s peanuts and many other ALDI products!! Recently bought Southern Grove Unsalted Roasted Peanuts from local Aldi and noticed the label changed from Red to Blue and now the peanuts come from outside the USA and a warning on label that they may contain shells. They were a lot darker and didn’t taste fresh like the previous lot. Hope this is NOT a permanent supplier change!

I am trying to eat more healthy, and I typically buy Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts with Sea Salt. Planters consists of 2 ingredients: Peanuts, Sea Salt. Which is what DRY Roasted Peanuts with Sea Salt should consist of.. I decided to buy these when shopping at Aldis.. I should have checked the ingredients. I opened them up and they looked like they were covered in sugar or some sort of powder. I tried some and they were sweet and herby tasting. I looked the the label again. Dry Roasted Peanuts with Sea Salt. I only like my peanuts plain and DRY with just a hint of salt.. These were sugary and in my opinion disgusting. Like Flavored Party Peanuts. I checked the ingredients and These “Dry Roasted Peanuts” consist of: peanuts, sea salt, sugar, cornstarch, maltodextrin, torula yeast, corn syrup solids, paprika, color, hydrolyzed soy protein, natural smoke flavor, onion powder, other spices, & garlic powder! 😳 umm.. No offense to the Southern Grove company but this is NOT DRY, roasted peanuts… This is FLAVORED, SUGARY peanuts. These have almost 3x as much sodium, less potassium, less protein, more sugar, and more carbs than ACTUAL Dry, Roasted Peanuts. This is false advertisement. Don’t believe labels, always check ingredients before buying. Lesson learned.
Rob DiDomenico says:
Aldi’s has discontinued Southern Grove’s Chipotle flavored peanuts. They still have the boring Cocktail peanuts and the low-quality mixed nuts & cashew pieces. Why on earth would they cancel the Chipotle flavor ?!?! If any decision-maker sees this, please bring them back
Adriana says:
Please bring southern grove chipotle peanuts back to the Alexis store in Plattsburgh ny
eva says:
The dry roasted peanuts with sea salt have corn syrup and sugar in them!! extremely misleading on the label. Wish I could get my money back. Not that hard to dry roast peanuts and add sea salt
Phil says:
Really good stuff…….. but their labeling forces me to ask this question:
If these are DRY roasted peanuts how in the hell do you WET roast them?
Think about for a week or so and get back to me!!!
patricia a revelle says:
where is the expiration date on the jar of dry roasted peanuts
Karrell Martin says:
Says may contain wheat? Do they – yes or no?
